Alexandros Paramythis

Alexandros received his PhD in the area of Adaptive Systems. He has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses at the university level, in areas related to Human-Computer Interaction and to programming, and has authored or co-authored approximately sixty publications in books, scientific journals, and international conferences and workshops. Alexandros has worked within and headed international multi-disciplinary research teams, in several RD projects, and has extensive experience in software development and in leading industry projects throughout their entire lifecycle. His specialization areas include information retrieval, data mining and analysis, and personalization.

Doris Paramythis

Doris received her engineering diploma in the field of Computer Science. She has been involved in research projects, both at the national and the EU levels, first at the Vienna University of Technology, and later as part of her lecturer and researcher appointment in the Communication and Knowledge Media study programme at the School of Informatics, Communication and Media at the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences in Hagenberg, Austria. Doris also has extensive experience in the acquisition and management of industry projects. She specializes in data modelling, knowledge representation, information retrieval, analysis and visualization.
